Places to discover in Kaysersberg

The historic town centre

Start your discovery of Kaysersberg with the church of Saint-Croix, next to our 4-star hotel, whose history dates back to the 13th century.

It's well worth a visit for its sublime carved wooden altarpiece and a calvary that stands out for its impressive size.

Opposite the church, you'll find the Constantin fountain, listed as a historic monument: it's the emblematic fountain of Kaysersberg, featured in many photos.

This is also where you'll find the Maison Loewert, which houses a bakery and pastry shop where you can enjoy their Alsatian speciality: bri au kirsch.

Then head for the fortified bridge. It offers one of the best views of the charming half-timbered houses built along the river.

Just a few steps away is the Maison Faller Brief, one of the most beautiful half-timbered houses in the village.

This former cooper's house is a listed building.

Schlossberg Castle

Built in the 13th century, Schlossberg Castle stands on the outskirts of Kaysersberg and is one of the symbols of the village.

Now partly in ruins, the castle features one of the oldest keeps in Alsace.

This imposing building is open to the public and offers a magnificent view of Kaysersberg and its vineyards after climbing the 122 steps!
